Sometimes something happens and something fun always comes of it.
Also in this case.
A while ago we received our shipping boxes on a pallet.
Once again I wasn't that quick with emptying the pallet so they left it behind...
The drivers work under time pressure hahahaha.
So you're looking at such an incredibly large thing.
Immediately I thought I'm going to make something nice out of that, so I kept all the nicest planks, and the rest was neatly taken to the landfill.
If you don't have a pallet, you can of course also make this from other planks.
Everything was cut to size for a nice back, and then a lot of sanding over it.
From the lesser pieces I sawed small planks that serve for the planks on which the pots will be placed.
Then I stained the back with Lasur from pentart.
This is a water-based stain and for indoor use.
This stain comes in beautiful colors, I chose purple and pink.
I treated the edges with gilding wax from pebeo, but this can also be done with the wax from pentart.
I screwed the rear wall together with two battens, deliberately opting for the staggering of the planks for a playful effect.
Then the small boards also stained and finished with the gilding wax.
These boards screwed to the back wall, and two hooks screwed in to hang it.
Then your rack is ready.
I hung the rack in our stairwell, so that there are also some more plants there.
lots of hobby fun,
Greetings Agnes
