From old cardboard to nice storage containers
Waste paper and cardboard... who doesn't have that?
If you order from us, you will often receive it in a box.
Now you can reuse that very nicely, I have also done this with an old box from a supplier.
I used the best parts of the box and cut out the sides and bottom.
The advantage is that you can customize the box.
How did I proceed?
You first cut the sides and the bottom to the size you want your box to be.
Then stick everything together with a glue gun and reinforce it with painter's tape.
Once it is securely attached, stick a layer of paper on it, this can be kitchen, toilet or tissue paper.
I used Deco page kleber, but napkins lack are also possible.
Make sure you also neatly overlap the corners and the top. so that everything is neatly finished.
There may be some bumps in it, because that gives a playful effect.
Once that is done, let it dry thoroughly.
I added another layer of white gesso to get everything in one nice, even color.
In the meantime, pick out nice napkins or pictures from a magazine, whatever you like.
You then stick this to your box with the same glue.
Added some decorations in the corners and on the top edge and decorated them with inka gold.
I then applied crackle paste to the other corners and let it air dry to create beautiful crackles.
Then use very diluted paint to add some color to the napkins and crackles so that they become clearly visible.
Finally, I gave everything a good varnish with DecoArt TRIPLE THICK glosse glaze.
