Bring spring into your home.

Bring spring into your home.

With these homemade nylon flower bouquets you can put a cheerful vase with flowers in your home.

You can make them in the color you want and it's really easy.

And they don't need water.

They are also very nice to give as a gift.

What do you need?

You need nice colors of nylon, sturdy iron wire, floral tape, stamens or nice beads and a spool of sewing thread.

Also various round things to wrap around your iron wire, so that you can make different sizes of leaves.

I have used PVC tubes, rolls of tape, vitamin tubes, etc.

At the bottom of this message you will see a shopping list.

How do you proceed?

For 1 sprig you make 9 rounds of the same size, the size depends on how big you want the flowers.

Make sure that a piece of iron wire remains on the circles, this makes it a bit easier to assemble the flower later.

Then you pull a piece of nylon around the circle and secure it with sewing thread.

You wrap the sewing thread tightly around it and secure it with a few loops. do this with all 9 circles.

Then you start to shape the leaves by stretching them a bit, and giving them a bulge, by pushing them over something round.

Now you can choose to first provide the leaves with floral tape, or you can put the flowers together first and then apply the tape.

I've done both, and the best thing is to apply a very thin layer first.

You can then work the sewing thread well.

Then it's time to assemble the flowers.

The top flower has 4 petals, take some stamens and secure the petals around it with sewing thread.

You can always shape the leaves a bit if they are attached.

The next flower has 3 petals and the lower flower has 2 petals.

There are also some flower buds, these are made with cotton wool on top of an iron wire with nylon stretched over it.

Secure this well with sewing thread and finish with floral tape.

When this is all ready you can start building the branch, I have always secured everything with sewing thread and then put floral tape over it.

I hope to have inspired you again with these nice flower branches, so that you can also put some colorful flowers in your home.

Christmas ball with decoupage

In the past I worked with my mother together on roof tiles and stones with napkins, this was so much fun. And the nice thing is that it is still a very nice and beautiful technique. The technique I use now is just a little different, because you work on the inside.
